Prenatal Massage (you must be past your first trimester to receive this massage) – Is designed for mothers-to-be. Helps the woman’s body to go through rapid change with less stress by relieving tension in muscles and joints. Focuses on primary areas of low back, neck, shoulders, calves and feet. If the mother-to-be is complaining of shortness of breath and heart burn, then I usually concentrate my work on the relieving of tension in the diaphragm area. The diaphragm work creates more space and that relieves the tension and helps the client to breath freely.
Prenatal Massage is beneficial for the mother and the baby. From Experience during the massage the baby usually starts moving.
